Stillwatch

Privacy policy

Effective 29 October 2026. Applies to the Stillwatch app for Android (package com.nktools.stillwatch) and this website.

Stillwatch is an anti theft alarm for your phone. This page explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. You don't create an account, and we don't sell your personal information.

Information that stays on your phone

None of this is sent to us. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes it.

Intruder photo (optional, off by default)

If you turn on Intruder photo, Stillwatch asks for camera access and for Android's device admin permission, used only to be told about wrong screen-unlock attempts. While Stillwatch is armed, after the number of wrong attempts you choose, it takes one front-camera photo. Photos are saved in the app's private storage on your phone, are never uploaded, and can be deleted in the app at any time. Stillwatch never uses device admin to lock, reset or wipe your phone. Turning Intruder photo off removes the permission, so you can uninstall normally.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Stillwatch is free and shows optional rewarded videos and occasional full-screen ads after you disarm, through Google AdMob. Ads never appear while the alarm is arming, armed or ringing. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:

If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Stillwatch under Settings > Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Android settings.

Google's use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

No app analytics

The Stillwatch app does not include any analytics or tracking SDK besides the advertising described above.

Notifications

While Stillwatch is armed, Android shows a notification so you always know it's running. When the alarm goes off, a full-screen notification opens the PIN pad. These are created on your phone and need no server.

This website

This website uses Google Analytics to count visits: pages viewed, approximate location from your IP address, browser and device type, and the page that referred you. No advertising cookies are set. Visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are counted without analytics cookies.

The teaser video on the home page is hosted on YouTube. It loads only when you press play, and YouTube may then set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.

Children

Stillwatch is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, contact us below.

Data security and retention

Data sent to Google's advertising services travels over encrypted connections and is kept according to Google's policies. Data on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the app.

Your choices

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date.
